farewell

hello from the far east.
I dont know who reads this anymore, but a quick update on my life would be thatnow I had been back in tokyo for two months since the end of June job searching, then I finally got the job I wanted, a PR position for Louis Vuitton in tokyo.
So I am returning to LA to finalize the move in a couple of days for about a week.

So I guess this is really the end of the chapter of my life in the States.
10 years just flew by and I got to live in Md DC NY OC and LA.
So many people I met and memories with them... Good times!

It feels so weird to be living back in Tokyo in the same house I lived when I was 15.
Same furniture, same dog, same neighbors, same friends, same busses, trains...

It feels like the 10 years in the states was a mere dream!

Anyway, I hope some of you may be able to visit me some time.
Tokyo is a fun place to visit...

Til I return to the States later in my life to live there again,
so long and farewell to everyone...!

Wow it's been a while since I updated last.
Well, I don't really talk to anybody on xanga anymore, but I've decieded that I'm moving back to Tokyo soon.
It'll be definitely nice to live with my family again after years of being apart,
and I think it'll be interesting to live in Tokyo.  It has gone through quite changes since I left ther 10 years ago.

I'm excited to leave my current job, but I will definitely miss some of my co-workers.

and having lunch with them in oldtown Torrance

They threw me a farewell party last night at my favorite Izakaya in Santa Monica, Musha.

Vegas was quite an experience... I absolutely loved Cirque du Soleil's "KA",  partying at "Tao" and staying at Manadaly Bay.

I'm falling more and more in love with the weather here.
I love Cali in March!
We drove down to OC to hit the beach.
Clear water, white sands, palm trees, good company, good music, sea breeze and baja fresh...

I want to do this every weekend!
Brian, we have SO many more beaches to check out!

It's been a while since I last posted.
Many things have happened in the past month or two, but things are settled now.
I moved into a new pad with a friend of mine from AU, and it's been such a blast living with her, and we absolutely love our apartment.
It's a two story unit with two balconies and washer/drier in the unit. All the decor is very french and charming, and there are trees and plants around the building.

On Tuesday, we went to watch the Laker's game at Staples Center. They were playing against the Knicks and I was rooting for them (I  guess I still consider myself a New Yorker?). It was an amazing game- the Knicks won with 107-106!

On Valentine's Day, my bf took me to a very nice French restaurant in Pasadena. Oh man, I wish I could have that dinner again...! A  lobster, caviar, sea bass, and the wine that I'd been looking for since I moved here- Pullie Fume. It was so wonderful and I couldn't wipe off the cheesy smile on my face the entire time...! Then he surprised me with a nice gift at the end of the night :)

The weather has been so great thesedays. It's like May in New York.
Escape from the snow storm and come visit me in Cali everyone!
I will show you a fantastic time!

It was last Wednesday when I called Big Bear Mountain to ask for images of their ski resort just to find out that I was invited to their media tour. They wamted to take people from various media on tour to get them write about the resort. I got 2 nights at a B&B, meals, spa treatments, snowboarding gear rental, lift tickets all for free plus many goody bags.  I took Francine with me and we had an absolute blast... wow the weekend was like a dream... It was like the winter on the east coast...! 25 degrees, christmas trees, snow, good pancakes and countless stars in the sky. Fran got me a star gazer for xmas.
It was us plus 30 other media people. We got on a van and went bird watching where we saw a bald eagle resting on a bare tree. Then drove around the lake, had a fabulous lunch at a B&B, got gift bags full of chocolates, then we went sledding and tried out their new Alpine slide. They then took us to a spa where we got a complementary massage.  We went back to our lodge and came back out for a steak dinner.
Next day, we went snowboarding from the morning. We got significantly better every run and we were so proud of ourselves at the end of the day!
I love playing in the snow... oh how I'd missed doing that since I moved to LA from NY!

All in all, it was a much needed break... I mean, what a hook up! I only spent 3 bucks on a latte during the entire trip...!
Sigh I miss the coldness in the air already!
